Two week ago, we had the distinct pleasure to photograph Jamie & Shawn with their horse Reigning Fire and Zelda respectively the day after the wedding. As you will see below, this trash the dress session was very fun as well as exciting and intimate. This session was a little more difficult as we had to encourage the horses to have patience as well as coordinating all the shots with Jamie & Shawn…
A GREAT BIG Thank You goes out to Erika and Jessica who are such good friends that helped with everything; and to Tracy who is the owner of Western Star Morgans Farm where we photographed this wonderful session…
I’ve always wanted to do a “Trash The Dress session”! However, I’ve never had any takers. I am actually thinking that there may be some confusion out there about what exactly a “Trash the Dress” session really is.
Basically, it’s when the bride or bride and groom do a session sometime after their Wedding and get back into their wedding attire. The only difference is this time they don’t worry about getting dirty or wet. This allows us to take some amazing shots in all sorts of locations that we couldn’t go to during their actual wedding day. Its super fun and more like a model shoot than anything else. During this particular TTD session, the dress did get a little dirty, but nothing that can’t be dry cleaned!!!
