Crystal & John’s wedding at the Belcourt Castle, Newport, RI – Newport RI wedding photographer

Over the past weekend, Xien and I had the pleasure of photographing one of the most beautiful and magical wedding ever…
Crystal & John’s wedding was held at the awesome Belcourt Castle located in Newport, Rhode Island. What a unique fairy tale wedding it was!
Crystal wore a beautiful, handmade white ball gown with crystal and pearl accents, a silver and crystal circlet, cathedral length veil and iridescent fairy wings.
John sported a black cutaway tux, white bow tie, black vest, white and silver royalty sash topping it off with a lily of the valley boutonniere.
Bridesmaids will each be representing a different element – Earth, Air, Water, and Fire. All wear an empire waist gown with puff sleeves and a silk chiffon overlay. Earth will be in mossy greens & dusty rose colors; Air in silver and lavender; Water in sapphire and sea green; and Fire in red and copper.
Flower girls will be in green and pink “petal” dresses and wearing a crown of pink roses. All girls will be wearing iridescent fairy wings.
Groomsmen and Junior Groomsman will also be wearing a black cutaway tux to match Groom, but with a black bowtie. They each will wear a royalty sash coordinating to the color of their partner – Green (Earth), Lavender (Air), Blue (Water), and Red (Fire). Maid of Honor and Best Man will be the Earth elements.

We had a wonderful time capturing this magical, fairytale-like joining of two beautiful people…

Kristie and Timothy’s wedding at the Hotel Viking, Newport, RI (07-31-2009)-Newport RI wedding photographer,

Kristie and Tim were married at the beautiful St Barnabas Church in Portsmouth, RI. We loved the gorgeous stained glass windows in this church that provided a colorful backdrop. From the church ceremony, we drove directly to the Eisenhower House located in the Fort Adams State Park for some great pictures. We will remember this day because on the way to the park, we heard a special weather alert on the radio stating that there was a heavy rain and tornado warning. We did not let the bridal party know this as it would have created stress. We simply hurried in order to avoid the BIG black clouds we could see in the distance. We had just finished the outdoor photos when we felt the first rain drop. Sooo lucky we are…

Their wedding reception was held at the fabulous The Hotel Viking Newport, RI. They are a very fun couple and we had a great time at the reception as well as the entire special day. During the entire day, Kristie was always smiling and did not let the weather impact her great mood. Kristie is such beautiful bride and sported a beautiful smile!!!
